From Porto the tour winds along the Douro River, through the valley and unique small towns. The journey will explore the remote and culturally fascinating Trás-os-Montes (defined as behind the Mountains) where it will visit tiny village seemingly trapped in time and still offering incredible local food, rich tradition, and legendary Portuguese hospitality.
There will be surprises all along the way as the group will cruise through ancient olive and almond tree groves and picturesque villages until it makes it close to the Minho region, close to the Spanish border where we will taste the unique wine only found here, Vinho Verde, and dine on the most incredible salt-cod dishes in perhaps all of Europe.

This is Allan Karl’s philosophy, and he truly walks the walk. I should know. I first met Allan when I started traveling to the United States, introducing Portugal to American motorcycle aficionados. We became fast friends, and through the years, have shared our great passion for motorcycles, yes, but also for culture, connection, food, wine and the spirit of adventure.
So the more I looked at Portugal and the philosophy and passion that drives Miguel and his Portugal Motorcycle Tours, I realized that if I was ever going to help host and guide a motorcycle tour, this would be the best experience. The Northern Portugal tour has just the right balance of adventure, challenging riding and yet it is all delivered as a five-star experience—something I never get a chance to participate in when traveling alone.

Passenger$7,594Optional passenger includes all food, drink, wine, and double-occupancy accommodation with rider. Does not include transportation to and from Lisbon.
Personalized & Signed Photo Book$0Allan will be blogging, writing and shooting photography during our weeklong adventure. He will produce and publish a limited edition book with photos, recipes and stories from the ride and the people we meet and those on the tour. Each rider will receive one signed copy shortly after the tour.

The Fine Print
PAYMENT CONDITIONS In order to secure your place on one of our tours we charge a non- refundable 30% of the total value of the tour you are booking. This allows us to make the necessary arrangements in order to guarantee that your experience in Portugal is flawless. You may pay the remaining 70% up to 90 days from the start of the journey you have booked. All prices are based on one single driver per motorcycle and single occupancy at the designated hotels, unless stated otherwise.
CANCELLATION POLICY The first 30% are non-refundable regardless of when the tour is booked. 50% refund if cancelled at least more than 60 days prior to the trip. For cancellations made between 60 and 30 days prior to the departure, a credit minus your initial deposit will be issued towards a future trip within two years. For cancellations made within 30 days of departure no credit can be applied.
