Celebrating And Getting Ready For Namibia.

Afk

Thanks to all of you who somehow have remembered that today is my birthday and sent me notes, cards and e-mails!!!

And thanks so much to those of you who have put a few dollars in my gas can through my PayPal or Amazon Accounts.

The support and help is appreciated and I will put all your names on the Friends of WorldRider page in the next day or two!

I’ve made plans to spend a couple weeks riding through Namibia with a fellow rider, Robin Hunt-Davis, a South African who lives outside of Cape Town. It will allow me to be more free to ride thorugh the more desolate areas where riding alone might not be smart.

How will I celebrate?

I hope to have my last good bottle of South African wine over a pleasant meal tonight and early night making for an early start tomorrow!

I’m repacking my exhaust, putting a new rear tire for those gravel and dirt roads and having Atlantic Mororaad check out the starving fuel/performance issue I’m having. If all goes well, we will leave tomorrow afternoon.

Again thanks for the birthday wishes and all the support.

    Allan,
Happy Birthday Brother & Congratulations on making it to Africa! This is the beginning of another great adventure.
Thanks for adding the Amazon support option, as I got hit by a PayPal fishing scam awhile back. I’m happy to once again be able to lend a little support to your fantastic voyage.

    Hi karl
I ahve not met you but have just started riding with my partner on his BMW GS 650 Dakar. We are about to go to mozambique for 2 weeks on it and can’t wait.
I have a question, we are struggling to get medical insurance for our trip in the event of a bike accident, any ideas who is best to contact?
    Thanks Sarshen

    Hey Alan,
Have a LOT of catching up to do as I have only read up to Nov. 27th post but was taken aback by the images of the Lighthouse at Cape Agulhas South Africa. Please if possible send us a high res image at your convenience of ANY lighthouse that you come across in your travels as we really need a good company logo for the new start-up in SS LED lighting. http://www.lighthouseww.com
God bless and keep safe Bro!
