Travel & Adventure Show: WorldRider, Doc & FORKS—USA Tour ’16

travel-adventure-show-logoAs I mentioned in my last post, I’ve been working on a winter project that will give me yet another opportunity to share the beautiful people and places all over the world that I chronicled in my book “FORKS: A Quest for Culture, Cuisine, and Connection” to audiences throughout North America. Beginning this weekend, I will be on the road with the Travel & Adventure Show, a consumer trade show produced by Unicomm.

The Travel & Adventure Show is where travel lovers come for travel inspiration and insight, expert information, celebrity speakers—I’ll be in good company with Rick Steves, Samantha Brown, Peter Greenberg and others including local chefs and travel gurus— and authentic cultural interaction. In addition to meeting with hundreds of travel experts representing thousands of destinations in the expo, the event also features an expanded educational program that spans five theaters. I’ll be featured at The Taste of Travel and the Savvy Traveler/Destination Stages.

I will be taking the FORKS Tour Van, Doc and plenty of stories and great food to seven cities this winter: San Diego, Chicago, Dallas, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Philadelphia. At each show, which runs over a weekend, I will give a keynote presentation sharing stories of my solo motorcycle adventure around the world, and I will also do a cooking demonstration and prepare one of the recipes from my bestselling book.

So if you live in or near any of the cities list below, I hope you’ll come by the Travel & Adventure Show and say hi.

What’s more, there may be an opportunity between the weekend shows for other presentations, book signings, or events, so stay tuned. I’m working on a few possibitliies. Plus, if you have an idea, connection or recommendation of a possible event between the dates I’ll be traveling those cities, drop me a note and I’ll see if there’s a possibility to add more events this winter.
